The Weary Heart's Porch Ministry is composed of a committed Board of Directors and dedicated volunteers from the community, all of whom have a passion for helping another human being get through some of the darkest hours.

Our History
More than twenty years ago, founder Kimberly Gaines discovered a calling; The Weary Hearts Porch Ministry. In their distress, people found their way to her porch in search of human kindness, a prayer, a shower, or a meal. Together, she and each Heart found solutions.
Then something wonderful happened. Everywhere she lived, new Weary Hearts found her porch. In 2018, The Weary Hearts Porch Ministry became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As people joined the organization's mission, our work expanded to serve seniors who are alone at home or in nursing homes, single parents, children living with few resources, and the homeless.
Our Mission
The Weary Hearts Porch Ministry gives hope, kindness and compassion to the homeless, seniors, widows and single parents. We do this by providing food, toiletries, clothing and other resources for emergency and overwhelming needs.
